Is it time for the Factions version of Sorrow's Furnace?
So you read the title, and the first thing you think is "Well, there's the Deep and there's Urgoz's...."
The distinction between those two and SF--SF is accessible to anyone who can fight/run/get run to Deldrimor War Camp and who can find a group. The others require "a ferry," and often, a little tip. Then, upon getting there, you find it relatively quiet--not many groups forming, etc...
I think it's time for an off-map addition of some kind, accessible to all, with the elevated loot and bosses and challenges of SF. Maybe under Mt. Quinakai, in the center of the Factions map, outside Pongmei Valley? Or perhaps even south of the Harvest Temple--to reward you for getting that far?
It can built like the other two--with rooms and traps--or more traditionally like SF. I don't think it needs bosses like SF(three or more in Grenths Footprint and three or four in SF itself) --there are enough of those already--but maybe two? One in the middle and one near the end? And those could be a rotating group of bosses.
Now, I don't know what mosters this might entail. If it's underground...a blend of Naga, Dredge, and something new?? slightly larger, harder mobs?
I don't think I'm explaining myself as well as I should. But I'll get it worked out.
Whaddaya think?

Not going to happen, Skippy. SF was a 'tide-over' until we entered the 1/2 year setup. There will be elite missions in Elona too, and since there's no town ownership you can safely assume they use a saner method of granting access.

Gaile has stated it is highly unlikely they will ever do an SF style update again.

This is my own opinion, but the original GW was so popular it probably caught A-net off guard. They added the Furnace as a carrot to keep people playing while they developed the Factions Campaign. They probably had ½ the staff then as they do now. Because we do not pay a monthly charge I do not think they will add to anything to chapters after they are released. So beside special weekends major updates are probably not going to happen. More like Major chapters released every couple quarters.

Anything for current campaign owners is a good idea. There are two copies of each campaign in my house, and there will be two copies of Nightfall and any future campaigns.
If they add any content to previous campaigns, I'll be there with a grin and my quiver stocked! (If Rangers ever get a quiver ).
